How We Help

We are a statewide nonprofit organization that works with parents, caregivers, educators and other professionals to promote healthy, positive and caring experiences for New Mexico families and children.

How Parents Reaching Out can help

  • Workshops: We offer a variety of workshops and training experiences designed for families, educators and community members. Our workshops are offered in English or Spanish. Call us at 505-247-0192 or 1-800-524-5176 (Toll Free in New Mexico only) to set up a workshop in your area. Visit our calendar page to find information about our current schedule of workshops.
  • Parent Connections: Through our Parent to Parent network, families are connected with others who have faced similar challenges. Our Family Leadership Action Network (FLAN) brings us together to share ideas, ponder possibilities and take action to bring positive changes for our children and young adults.
  • Resources: Publications, or Links to download any of our publications or find resources on topics that interest you. You may also call our office to get the publications you need.
  • Phone Support: We’re just a toll free phone call away (1-800-524-5176). We provide support and assistance to families, educators, service providers and others about early intervention, early childhood, health care, education, special education and other topics.

How do I get started?

Give us a call at 505-247-0192 or 1-800-524-5176 (Toll Free in New Mexico only) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. MST Monday-Friday and a member of our trained staff will assist you. You can also contact us by email at: info@parentsreachingout.org

Is There a Cost?

No. Parents Reaching Out services are provided free of charge for New Mexico families. We receive funding from Federal and State grants and partner with various agencies to serve communities in New Mexico. Visit About Us to learn more about our organization.

What can I Expect When I Call?

Our receptionist will welcome you to Parents Reaching Out and ask a few questions to better understand your needs to connect you with a staff member who will assist you. If a staff member is working with another family or professional or away from the office, please leave a message. We strive to return calls in less than 48 hours (Monday-Friday).

What if I'm not sure if Parents Reaching Out can help me?

Call us anyway. Chances are we have a program or resource to fit your needs and will be able to get you pointed in the right direction.
