Biography:

Kendra has been employed at Parents Reaching Out since September of 2007. She has two children with disabilities and received assistance from Parents Reaching Out since 2001. On her personal journey, she understands exactly how important this organization is and what it can offer for parents in providing a safe haven to gather knowledge and make decisions relevant to the needs of the family.

During her time at Parents Reaching Out, she has received joy and support from the families that she has helped. She enjoys families sharing stories about their children and families experiences especially when things go well after her assistance. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, interior design and attending Gaelic Cultural events.

Cindy joined Parents Reaching Out in 2012. As a former special education teacher, she recognizes the challenges families face when trying to ensure that their children are receiving the necessary services.

Cindy received her bachelor’s degree from Portland State University and attended the Graduate School of Special Education. After beginning her career in Portland, she lived in Northern Arizona and worked extensively with the state and the Navajo Nation to provide services for children with disabilities and to advocate for domestic violence survivors. Cindy and her husband lived in Wyoming for a year before moving to Albuquerque, with the hope of finding more opportunities here to help those in need. She appreciates the opportunity at PRO to help children and families in New Mexico.

In her free time, Cindy enjoys reading, hiking, and enjoying all that New Mexico has to offer.
