Biography:
Cindy joined Parents Reaching Out in 2012. As a former special education teacher, she recognizes the challenges families face when trying to ensure that their children are receiving the necessary services.
Cindy received her bachelor’s degree from Portland State University and attended the Graduate School of Special Education. After beginning her career in Portland, she lived in Northern Arizona and worked extensively with the state and the Navajo Nation to provide services for children with disabilities and to advocate for domestic violence survivors. Cindy and her husband lived in Wyoming for a year before moving to Albuquerque, with the hope of finding more opportunities here to help those in need. She appreciates the opportunity at PRO to help children and families in New Mexico.
In her free time, Cindy enjoys reading, hiking, and enjoying all that New Mexico has to offer.
